Though it’s a small gesture, the fact that Tannin allows Dy-Gar to put a gun to her head without repercussion is a sign of respect and, more importantly, of guilt. She may have beaten and threatened Kakari, it should be clear by now that this is a defense mechanism. As for what Kakari meant to Tannin and how the former Blacknet Queen became the person she is today, we’ll find all that out later. For now, the smallest cracks in her defenses are starting to show...
