Strip 28: The Threshold

Hey, it’s the First Dy-Gar, from way back in strip 2 of part 3! I call her FDG for short, although Durga is technically more accurate, if less descriptive. And...Arjuna? I wanted to give his original design a much softer, friendlier look while retaining some of the traits from his later war machine redesign (mostly the chest), and I particularly wanted him to resemble Kier, hence the face screen. Though this may never come up in the actual comic, I imagined Arjuna’s original purpose as a residential waste disposal robot, which is why he is both gigantic and friendly(ish) looking.
