Strip 41: The Tools of the Machine Lord

Okay, so we’ve got to go way, waaay back for this one. Way back as in February 28th, 2014. In Part 1, Strip 46, Dy-Gar gave his “When a machine is used as a tool” monologue to Roger after Roger’s panic attack at seeing the devastation left by the Revolution. This speech seemed to flow effortlessly, as if he’d composed it on the spot. Now, not only is Dy-Gar learning that even his basic moral principles aren’t his own, but he’s learning that these principles were, at one point, twisted to allow the “real” Dy-Gar to create slaves out of his loyal soldiers. No wonder he’s got that look on his face.
