Strip 37: Fighting Back

The acronym KEPAD is made up, but it actually does stand for something and it's based on several current types of armor piercing ammunition. It means Kinetic Energy Penetrator Acid Delivery, which is probably something you'd want if all your enemies were covered in armor and full of vulnerable circuitry inside. The concept of a wireless energy transfer is a real thing too (you may have seen it in action with those little Starbucks phone charger pads), we just upscaled it a bit. Ultimately, Dy-Gar now has a gun, and that seems...unsafe.
