Strip 35: Up to Speed

I think it’s pretty clear by now that the PPA 5 is fulfilling the much-needed role of a foil to Dy-Gar’s homicidal delusions of grandeur. He’ll be getting a formal introduction soon, as well as a hefty pile of concept art on the Facebook page. I’ve had a lot of fun writing his character and the dynamic between him and Dy-Gar. Until this point, Dy-Gar has had nobody to call him out on his B.S. except for the Goddess, but she’s not quite so blunt about it, and Dy-Gar wouldn’t dare fight with her like he’d fight with an uppity little forearm. Plus, the PPA is the first character we’ve had who isn’t severely cryptic or hopelessly confused. That’s not to say he doesn’t have his own flaws and quirks, but he’s more down-to-Earth, if such a term can be applied to a living prosthetic.
